The brief for this publication was to create a printed piece with kitchen counter gravitas that showcases the Foundation’s 20 years of contributions to Parkinson’s research on one side, and flips to highlight what’s ahead for the field on the other side. The piece had accompanying digital assets on the MJFF website and social media.

We created impact with engaging imagery, bold typography and simple graphic elements to carry the reader through.

The theme of the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation’s (ADDF) 2016 annual report was “From Idea to Impact.” The cover introduces this idea through imagery of the science and the people at the core of the Foundation’s mission.

A forward slash motif, carried throughout the publication, underscores the forward momentum in Alzheimer’s research driven by thought leaders like the ADDF.

The section featuring Foundation-funded projects uses a drug discovery pipeline infographic to tell a larger story about how the ADDF is shaping the field.

The ADDF’s 2017 annual report revolved around the theme of “driving innovation.” The imagery, motifs and layouts all emphasize the novel ideas being funded by the Foundation’s unique funding model, and its role in forging connections between researchers, resources and funding.

We had some fun with the table of contents as a way to draw the reader in from page one.

A spread highlighting how the ADDF innovates, using imagery and linking circles to emphasize the science and forging connections.
